Our Mission
The Chico Cycling Team exists to promote rider development, the cycling lifestyle and community outreach. We believe the best way to achieve our goals is through a shared vision and purpose to define our team culture and by setting clear expectations of every team member. All members are expected to promote safety at all times, support rider development at all levels of cycling.
Despite differences in skill and fitness levels, and preferred types of riding that inevitably exist among our team members, we respect the talent, developmental stage and goals of each cyclist, and help all cyclists reach their full potential. We respect the rights, dignity and worth of every human being, and within the context of the activity, treat everyone equally regardless of ethnic origin, religion, and/or gender. Team members are committed to enhancing team races, events and activities to the best of our collective ability, and offer our diversified skill sets to help make all CCT events successful and enjoyable. All members are expected to practice good sportsmanship and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all cycling and non-cycling events. CCT athletes are conscious of our roles as ambassadors to both the recreational cycling and non-cycling communities.
